German Soul is a hybrid documentary in development from Grammy-winning musician and ethnobotanist Justin Robinson and filmmaker D. L. Anderson (Vittles Films). Their new film investigates the persistent myths and realities of soul food and Black southern foodways, tracing the dishes Robinson grew up with to their origins, including the German and European roots long hidden within them.
